1. Splash with white paint

When the painting is completely dry,

Spray moist white paint onto the brush handle or toothbrush.

2. Leave white liquid

White solution is a common way to preserve white areas,

It's just that the edges will be very unnatural.

However, when dealing with small details like snowflakes,

This method is the simplest and most controllable.

Randomly apply a small amount of white solution to the paper,

Try changing the shape and size,

Make snowflakes appear more natural.

After the pigment has dried, wipe off the white liquid.

This painting of the lantern is

A good example of this approach.

3. Use the texture of the paper

This method works well on rough watercolor paper,

Able to draw large, fluffy snowflakes.

Use the flat side of the brush instead of the nib,

Brush gently on a dry surface,

This leaves white areas on the paper.

4. Wax

With a white candle or crayons,

Randomly draw some dots and strokes on the paper.

Then paint the winter scenery on it.

5. Blot dry with a paper towel

It creates very soft snowflakes,

Depending on the size of the snowflake,

Tear the paper towel into strips,

Roll it tightly to become elongated.

Apply a layer of liquid pigment to dry paper,

And immediately with the note,

Press the tip against the paper.
